Baby Nash - Boston Birth Photography
Birth is so miraculous and precious, it HAS to be documented. I had the pleasure of documenting Nikki's labor process during the birth of her new addition. Here is a sneak peek of what happened on 11/5/2016 with the birth of her and Kevin's new baby. I am so grateful to both of them for allowing me into this private moment of their lives.
Please welcome to this world Baby Nash, weighting a whooping 9.7 pounds. He decided to enter the world at 7:55pm. Momma was a rockstar!
Birth Story
I arrived to the hospital at around 1:00pm, as Momma had mentioned that her contractions were 3-4 minutes apart. Momma was working the contractions like a champ!
I left to get some lunch/dinner and Momma messaged me letting me know that the contractions were quicker and stronger and she was at 6cm. I said to myself, this is it. It was so a huge supporta little before 5:00pm.
The nurse that was providing care for Nikki was amazing and was very attentive to momma's needs and desires, which definitely helped in the birthing process. We talked about our kids, our crunchy lifestyle, among other topics while we waited for baby to arrive. Kevin was also a huge supporter and was always complementing momma on how beautiful she looked! (Didn't she look amazing?).
At around 7:28pm momma felt her water break and the nurse was called in to the room. Nikki was at 9cm. After this Momma started to push to help baby arrive into this world. Both nurses worked with mom and in a blink of an eye baby was almost home.
The doctor arrived at 7:55pm and 20 seconds later baby was in the doctor's arms. The doctor immediately placed the baby on mommy and allowed them to have skin-to-skin and delayed cord clamping.
Baby was able to latch quickly and was breastfeeding for a whole hour. Baby Nash for the win!
Congratulations to this beautiful family!
